My name is Arnold Brown, and I’m a self-taught linguist with over 15 years of experience studying languages and over a decade of experience as an educator. Throughout my career, I’ve had the privilege of teaching K–12 students, college learners, adult education, Special Education (SPED), and English as a Second Language (ESL). I speak four languages fluently—English, Spanish, Portuguese, and Mandarin Chinese—and I’m currently teaching myself Russian to continue expanding my skills.
As an African American male, I’ve always believed it’s vital to show that we can succeed beyond the traditional paths of sports, music, and entertainment. Representation matters. There is a clear shortage of African American male leaders in education, innovation, and global influence—and I’m committed to being part of the change.
My professional journey has always been about more than just a career—it's about leaving a legacy. I've dedicated my life to educating young people and creating digital resources that inspire the next generation to see bigger possibilities for themselves, especially within the African American community. I believe that when we are seen in spaces of leadership, innovation, and education, we open doors not just for ourselves, but for countless others who will come after us.
In June–August of 2025, I completed my Master of Business Administration (MBA) at Western Governors University in just three months, demonstrating both discipline and academic focus. In November 2025, I began my Doctor of Education (Ed.D.), and I am already on my sixth out of eleven courses, starting my specialization and progressing steadily toward completion.
My doctoral work focuses on Instructional Design and Technology, with the goal of expanding and refining my virtual Spanish and language-learning programs. Through this work, I aim to create accessible, high-quality educational resources—especially for underserved communities—while contributing meaningful and practical innovations to the field of education.
Graduate education is a significant financial investment. Because tuition and academic expenses continue throughout my doctoral journey, I am asking for continued support. The total cost to complete the program is $21,500. Every contribution directly helps cover tuition, course materials, and essential educational costs, allowing me to stay focused on this mission.
My personal motto is to be shamelessly unique—to stand confidently in my purpose and show others that it is possible to make a global impact regardless of where you start. Being intentional about the legacy we leave behind gives life its deepest meaning.
Thank you for believing in this vision, and for helping me carry this torch forward.
